In today’s fast-paced world, we think we need to respond to every ping and bell on our devices, which can completely distract us from achieving our ultimate goal when it comes to finding our next job. We think that our next job is around the next text message or networking post.

However, one of the most under-appreciated aspects of a job search is designing a comprehensive plan and sticking to it.

The mistake many professionals make is thinking they can put in a significant amount of time and effort for a couple of weeks and their efforts will be rewarded with their desired job shortly afterward.
